Lorca Smetana is a joy biologist, and an expert in the human capacity to recover and sustain yourself within change, crisis, or burnout. At the age of 16 she was a survivor of the 1986 school mountaineering tragedy on Mount Hood that took the lives of nine people. This tragedy began her journey to becoming an expert in Resiliency. Today, she is a speaker and educator, a regenerative farmer and writer, serving as an epicenter of resilience. As a Natural Number 1 she is an architect of resilience design and wholeness – she offers us a starting place and a way to build resilience for a more joyful life. She works with individuals, teams, and communities
